People are the largest source of damaging static charge. An ESD safe workstation protects your sensitive products by providing pathways to safely drain damaging static charge to ground. A wrist strap and coil cord remove static from the person as it is generated. Parts placed on a static dissipative mat decay their static charge to ground at a safe rate. Both the mat and coil cord are connected to ground by the Common Ground Cord System. Workstation Kits combine the products needed to build the ESD-safe workstation required by EIA 625

Ultra-R2 — 2 Layer Rubber
Excellent resistance to solvents, hot solder, and soldering irons makes the Ultra-R2 mat the ultimate static safe work surface. Electrical performance is enhanced by using a two layer combination of static dissipative and conductive rubber materials. Ultra-R2 mats combine the low contact resistance and convenience of soft mats, and the conductivity and durability of hard laminates. Meets the requirements of EOS/ESD Standard #4.1, EIA 625, MIL-HDBK-263, and MIL-STD-1686. Available in Blue or Gray.

Premium — 3 Layer Vinyl
Three layers provide excellent electrical properties. The top layer is tough, easy to clean, dissipative vinyl. The center layer, a highly conductive metal scrim, moves the charge from the surface to ground quickly. The bottom layer is a durable, non-skid cushion of dissipative foam. Meets the requirements of EOS/ESD Standard #4.1, EIA 625, MIL-HDBK-263, and MIL-STD-1686. Available in Blue or Gray.
